Meaning of symbol.
After the great riot in 1998, all Indonesian people had a new experienced; reforms euphoria. A shock culture which to give birth to so much contradiction in any elements of life.
Without exception for a theater group called Teater K.A.M.I. There is a hope for freedom of expression because the dictatorial system has fell but in the other side the art is the lowest priority because economic demand was urgent.
But, the stage always calling us. With abig love to theater, some members of Teater K.A.M.I tried to bring life for the almost dead activity. With a bit experience because the senior members are gone, they produce "SIALAN" in November 23th,1999. This production was a Nietschzean perspective to saw reality. This is the fifth production and also the last for the Teater K.A.M.I journey. After that they officially take a new identity; Forum Experiment Teater/FEeT since December 31st,1999.
And we try to step over out feet in the new millenium with the spirit of neverending exploration.
Until now we still moving and we keep on walk on the solitude way.
Sesudah huru-hara 1998, seluruh masyarakat di Indonesia mengalami euforia reformasi. Sebuah gegar budaya yang melahirkan banyak terjadinya kontradiksi di segala unsur kehidupan.
Tak terkecuali serombongan grup teater bernama Teater K.A.M.I. Disatu sisi ada harapan akan kebebasan berekspresi karena kediktatoran telah tumbang namun pada sudut yang lain lagi kesenian menjadi prioritas terbawah karena tuntutan ekonomi jauh lebih mendesak.
Namun, panggung memang selalu menumbuhkan kerinduan. Berbekal kecintaan pada seni teater, beberapa anggota dari Teater K.A.M.I mencoba menghidupkan lagi nafasnya yang sekarat. Dengan pengalaman seadanya karena anggota senior telah menghilang, mereka mementaskan "SIALAN" pada tanggal 23 November 1999, sebuah sudut pandang bergaya Nietschzean dalam melihat realitas zaman. Naskah ini merupakan pentas ke-5 sekaligus pamungkas dari perjalanan Teater K.A.M.I karena sesudah itu mereka resmi memakai identitas baru Forum Eksperiment Teater/FEeT sejak 31 Desember 1999.
Dan kami mencoba melangkahkan kaki-kaki kami di milenium baru dalam semangat pencarian tiada henti.
Sampai kini kami masih berjalan dan akan terus berjalan menyusuri jalan-jalan yang sepi.
